How Can You Enter?

Get your writing hat on and start putting pen to paper to record your most memorable story from your travels. This could be about something that happened either at home or abroad – it doesn’t matter as long it’s captivating, creative and inspirational. It might be an epic tale of triumph over adversity, a well crafted account of an incredible day out, or a touching love story, just make sure it’s real and original.

Once you’ve penned your masterpiece, which should have a maximum of 2500 characters, head over to the around the world in 80 Pages competition site to enter. here you’ll need to click on the red “Participate Now” button where you’ll be able to sign up by providing your name, age, country you come from and email address, before submitting your awesome story.

You’ll also need to upload 3 original photos that illustrate your writing, maybe of the place featured or of the event that you’re writing about.

And it’s pretty much that simple! You’ll now be in with a chance of making your travel dreams come true by winning up to €2500 in travel vouchers or a swanky new camera.

Who Can Enter?

This competition is open to anyone over the age of 18. It’s a worldwide competition so it doesn’t matter which country you hail from, but all entries must be submitted in English. You don’t have to be a professional writer either, they’re just looking for great travel stories.

How does the Judging Work?

The panel of 6 judges is made up of award winning bloggers, established writers and travel lovers. stories will be judged on their ability to engage and inspire the reader, how well they convey the experience, originality of the style, their creativity and realness.

When Does it all Happen?

Entries must be submitted December 31, 2016. the best 80 stories will be judged, shortlisted and revealed on 15th January 2017. The 9 top prize winners will be announced in March 2017 on the competition website and also notified by email, so make sure you keep an eye on your inbox and check that it doesn’t go into your junk folder!
